Whale Watching Dominical Tours

Whale Watching season starts this month and will last through April. The Grey whales are just starting to head south from Alaska to Costa Rica where their babies are born. They turn around and head back from February through April. During their migrations along the California coast, tens of thousands of people turn out to watch them. Hornblower Cruises starts their San Diego whale-watching season,This is most certainly a very important activity. While it attracts tourists from all over the world, it also helps to teach and educate people, both young an adults about the importance of conservation.

One of the best areas is the South Pacific, including Coronado Bay and Drake Bay, the entire Osa Peninsula and Golfo Dulce, which is considered the most important Tropical Fjord in the world.

Keto and Cascadian Research as well as former Lodge Divine Dolphin are three of the leading conservation foundations trying to keep the whale population healthy and alive.

You can take a Whale Tour from Dominical, Uvita or Ballena. However, if you wish to explore these animals in-depth, we recommend you to visit a lodge in Osa.
